Whistler. Summer 2014.

August.

Here are some of the last images of the summer before our trip to the Oregon Coast.  We did a little bit of hiking on the weekends and discovered some great, kid friendly trails.  The kids tend to complain a little, but usually end of being pretty good sports.  The scenery is so spectacular here in the PNW, that the hikes usually have a pretty good pay off.

The kids and I traveled eastward to visit with family and friends.  We spent a couple weeks with cousins and grandparents, celebrated summer birthdays at Great Wolf Lodge, and left Jeff back in Seattle to work on the house.  Although we all had a good time, the kids were ready to be home and enjoy the perfect weather of a summer in Seattle.

Spring has Sprung.

Easter Sunday (and Saturday too!) were just gorgeous.  We did several neighborhood hunts and had great food with friends.  This is a big week for Silas with his first Science Fair.  He has been working hard on his project for several weeks now and we are excited to attend the big event this week.

So happy to be headed into the Spring.  Today we celebrated Easter with our usual friends and enjoy 70 degrees and sunshine.  We were all excited, took full advantage of the weather and spent the majority of the weekend outdoors.  Ruby has been swimming, taking gymnastics twice a week and running track twice a week.  Silas is tagging along and looking forward to soccer in the coming days...

2012/2013

The winter is passing quickly, Thanksgiving and Christmas flying by and now almost February.  We escaped the city after the new year and headed to the coast where we enjoyed nice weather, crab, and a lot of swimming.  Silas is enjoying the start of basketball season and Ruby is fully immersed in gymnastics.  Mama is finished with school and job searching (sort of).

This morning the countdown began-one week until Ruby's fifth birthday.  Since it is on a Wednesday, we will celebrate this weekend with lots of purple and a few unicorns.  Ruby started a new school this year that offers a Pre-K program, but really all she is interested in is doing the monkey bars.
