RF5

This morning the countdown began-one week until Ruby's fifth birthday.  Since it is on a Wednesday, we will celebrate this weekend with lots of purple and a few unicorns.  Ruby started a new school this year that offers a Pre-K program, but really all she is interested in is doing the monkey bars.

A Little S&R.

They don't really get along most of the time, but when they do, we capture it on film.

Hug beach.

Hug Beach is one of our favorite places to visit when we go to the Oregon Coast.  There is an old stagecoach road that use to run along the water and you could only go on it when it was low tide.

The Farm.

The Farm is in Russellville, Kentucky and is a special place for Jeff's family.  It was my first time there, and the kids spent the day riding in the back of a pickup (in the rain!) and exploring the creeks and cows.

Bluegrass Fair.

The kids and I spent most of July in Kentucky and Tennessee, visiting with family and friends and doing lots of activities in ridiculous heat.  One highlight was a fair we went to, where we arrived early and had the place to ourselves.  I think it might be a favorite memory of the summer.

The view from above.

Jeff did some hikes with Bob and Silas in Manzanita and took some photos along the way.

Favorites from the year so far.

Going through the pictures of the year, I picked out a few to highlight the last few months.

Summer Vacation.

We spent the last week of August in Manzanita, Oregon.  It was our third trip to the Oregon coast with Nana and Papa.  The weather was fabulous and some highlights of the trip were: trips to the bakery, trips to the candy store, crabbing and hiking for the boys, cable TV for the kids, skim boarding, fire on the beach, and lots of down time for Amanda and Jeff.

Hi, How Are You?

The winter has come and gone and we are slowly approaching summer.  We have played soccer, ran track, swam, and danced our way through the Spring.  School has another month for the kids and then off to Kentucky for a while.  Silas is approaching 8 and big changes for all of us come Fall.  Oh, and Orson lost a tail.
